The Role
Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City is looking for an MRI Technologist to join the team in Oklahoma City, OK. This isn't just a scanning job ; it's about making sure every patient who walks through those doors gets the care they deserve. You'll operate imaging equipment (mostly MRI gear) to help diagnose and treat patients, all while keeping safety and quality front and center.
This role demands technical know how, a real commitment to patient care, and solid communication with both patients and other healthcare pros. It's full time, 36 hours per week, working three 12 hour shifts from Sunday through Tuesday, 7pm to 7am. New hires may qualify for a sign on bonus.
What You'll Do
- Operate MRI equipment and related software during exams
- Make sure each patient is safe throughout the imaging process
- Keep imaging standards high ; clarity matters here
- Communicate clearly with patients about what's happening
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare staff
- Maintain a strong focus on patient comfort and care during every scan
Qualifications by Level
MRI Technologist:
- Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program with completed clinical hours required
- No experience required; we can train you up
- State licensure might be needed depending on where you practice
- ARRT registry OR registry eligible (you've got 6 months from eligibility to get registered)
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
Advanced MRI Technologist:
- Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program with completed clinical hours required
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant imaging experience under your belt
- State licensure may be required depending on the state you're in
- CERTIFICATION: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT plus BLS Basic Life Support current and active Current MRI Technologists moving into this title need all required competencies completed first.
