About This Role

What you'll do

You're the person who looks at cells all day and figures out what's going on. At Mercy in Oklahoma City, OK, we need a Cytotechnologist who can tell abnormal from normal by really knowing anatomy, physiology, and how cells and tissues work. You'll interpret cell morphology and make diagnostic decisions based on what you see. And yeah, there might be other related tasks that pop up.

What you need

  • A Bachelor's degree and graduation from an accredited school of cytotechnology
  • ASCP certification or eligibility
  • No prior experience required to start

What we'd like to see

If you've got one year of experience already under your belt, that's preferred but not required.

The physical side of things

This job involves some real physical demands. You'll need to push, pull, and grip up to 25 pounds. Pinch up to 10 pounds. And occasionally kneel, crouch, or crawl ; but minimally.

The equipment you'll use

Standard cytology equipment and instrumentation. Nothing too exotic.
