About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this Med/Surg RN job in Oklahoma City, OK. It's with Gifted Healthcare. I've been placing nurses for over a decade, and I know what makes a unit tick. This is the core of hospital nursing.
The Work
You're the primary nurse at the bedside for a mixed patient population. Your shift starts with your own assessments to build a personalized care plan for each person. You'll handle meds from prep to administration to documentation.
- You're the one starting IVs, changing dressings, and inserting catheters when it's needed.
- A big part of the job is monitoring your patients. When symptoms change or something seems off, you initiate action; you don't just report it.
- You also get equipment ready and assist physicians during exams and treatments.
What You Need to Bring
This isn't an entry level gig. You need to have your RN license in hand and at least one year of recent experience in a Med/Surg setting. They're firm on that. A BLS certification is non negotiable; you must be current.
The schedule is three 12 hour day shifts per week. That's your commitment.
The Details & How to Apply
The pay range is $1,728 to $1,872 per week. It's W 2 employment, not a 1099 contract.
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance plans. You get life insurance and short term disability coverage. There's a 401(k) plan with company matching. You'll accrue paid time off.
If this sounds like your kind of floor and the schedule works for you, apply through Gifted Healthcare's portal. Make sure your resume clearly shows that year of recent Med/Surg RN experience and your active credentials.
