About This Role
Your Next Move Starts Here
Mercy is hiring a Mammography Technologist at the Coletta Cancer Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Right now, we're offering a sign on bonus for new team members. This is a full time position, 40 hours a week.
The Role
You'll work under the direct supervision of the Mammography Supervisor and Senior Mammographer. Your day to day is about performing professional mammography, providing education to patients, and supporting the other women's services that run through our Breast Imaging department.
Who You Are
We have three levels on this career ladder. The one you land at depends on your education, certifications, and experience.
- Mammography Technologist: You've graduated from an accredited Imaging Program and finished your required clinical hours. No prior experience needed. You hold an ARRT registry or are registry eligible (you must achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility). BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. State licensure may be required depending on where you practice.
- Advanced Mammography Technologist: Same educational background ; graduation from an accredited Imaging Program plus required clinical hours. You need at least 1 year of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's degree. Current ARRT (R)(M) certification is required, along with BLS Basic Life Support. Again, state licensure may apply. If you're already a Mammography Tech here moving up to Advanced, you must complete all required Mammography Technologist competencies first.
- Senior Mammography Technologist: Same education requirement: accredited program plus clinical hours. At least 1 year of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's degree. Must hold ARRT (R)(M) plus one advanced registry: either ARRT(BS) or RDMS(BR). BLS Basic Life Support is also required. State licensure may vary by location. If you're an Advanced Tech moving to Senior internally, you'll need to complete all competencies for both the Mammography and Advanced levels first.
The Benefits
Starting day one, if you work 32 or more hours per pay period, Mercy covers medical insurance, dental insurance, and vision coverage for you. You also get paid time off right away.
There's tuition support if you want to keep learning. They offer retirement plans that they match. And honestly? Your voice matters here ; it's a collaborative team where people actually listen.
