Let's talk about the job

You'd be running the show at our branch in Oklahoma City, OK. It's a management role where you lead the team that supports our HVAC and refrigeration technicians out in the field. You're the main point of contact for a lot of people; you'll work directly with service and install techs, dispatch, other managers, customers, vendors, and suppliers. A big part of this is making sure communication is clear so everyone knows exactly what's happening with a job.

The goal is customer satisfaction while hitting our departmental goals. You're also a senior rep for CoolSys. We've been around for over 150 years and we're the leader in indoor environment solutions. Our work covers everything from HVAC and refrigeration installs to service, maintenance, and energy solutions for all kinds of markets.

What you'd be doing day to day

• Talk with vendors and factory reps about warranties, product recalls, operational problems, or premature failures.
• Keep an eye on the service vehicles assigned to your branch. They need to be maintained per company policy and stocked with adequate parts.
• Your focus is growing branch revenue and maximizing its profitability.
• Prioritize customer needs by delivering high quality service and improving their experience continuously.
• Develop budgets, goals, and objectives to keep the P/L looking good.
• Check work orders, invoices, and time reports for accuracy.
• Sending quotes out to customers promptly is part of it.
• Help the Service Manager run regular training so techs are up to date on the latest service techniques and safety procedures.
• Communicate daily with dispatch about project info, estimated completion times, labor hours, and parts used.
• Schedule technicians based on skill level, efficiency, training needs, and customer expectations.
• Support the hiring process: interview, screen, and evaluate both technicians and administrative staff to meet workload demands.
• Review completed work for quality, technique, and safety compliance against our standards. Recommend improvements where needed.
• Handle staff performance appraisals, reviews, and set improvement goals as required by the company.
• Make sure everyone complies with health & safety regulations and that all required safety training gets done.
• A key task is validating and approving payroll hours for your team.

The background we need

• A minimum of five years of recent HVAC & Refrigeration service experience that shows success on your resume.
• A solid three years in Service Management is required. That's non negotiable.
