What You'll Do
This Histotechnician role at Mercy is all about the behind the scenes work that makes patient diagnosis possible. You'll handle patient specimens, operate and maintain lab equipment, and perform routine histological procedures. It's a hands on job where precision matters ; you'll follow patient identification protocols, lab safety policies, and Mercy's department procedures closely.
Beyond the bench work, you'll keep the department running. That means managing inventory, handling computer functions, and doing record keeping and QI tasks. You'll also help develop standard operating procedures in the department. Everything you do should reflect Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards.

What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- HT(ASCP) certification
- Computer experience is preferred
- An Associate's degree is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
