
About This Role
What you'll do as a Float Pool RN at Mercy
You'll use the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and the nursing process to deliver patient care. That means you're accountable for your patients from start to finish, coordinating their care with other departments along the way. You'll protect patient rights and keep everything confidential, just like you'd expect. Everything you do will follow the State Nurse Practice Act, Mercy's guidelines, and our Code of Professional and Business Ethics.
Where you'll work
This isn't a static floor assignment. As a Float Pool RN in Oklahoma City, OK, you could be assigned to acute care units across the hospital ; think Med Surg, Telemetry, Step Down, or Progressive Care. You're the multi unit resource who keeps things running smoothly wherever you're needed most.
What we need from you
- A graduate of a state approved professional nursing program
- A current RN license with your State Board of Nursing (or a temporary work permit in that state)
- Current BLS certification
- 1 year of nursing experience in acute care ; with 6 months of that experience within the last year
- The ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- The stamina for prolonged standing and walking through each shift
- The mobility to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed

You'll be working full time in Oklahoma City, OK. This role requires consistent availability across various shifts ; weekends and holidays included.
