Facilities Coordinator
About This Role
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
This isn't a desk job. As a Facilities Coordinator, you’re the person who keeps things running ; literally. You’ll move between tasks that span multiple trades: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building upkeep. One day you might be diagnosing a machine issue using a repair manual; the next, you could be pulling wiring or replacing a broken part with hand tools and power tools.
You’ll also inspect and test equipment to spot problems early. If something stops working, you figure out why ; checking blueprints, parts catalogs, or manuals ; and then fix it yourself. Adjust control instruments with straightedges or levels? That’s on the list too.
And when we need work done on new store build outs or extra projects, you'll assist in negotiating the price.
Who Fills This Role Well
- You can stick with a task until it's done right ; attention to detail matters here.
- You don't wait for someone to point out what needs fixing; you see it and act on it.
- Talking through problems comes naturally to you; you explain issues clearly without overcomplicating them.
- When there's no clear guideline for solving a problem, you still find an effective solution.
- You're flexible enough to shift gears as priorities change during the day.
The Basics You Need
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Having previous maintenance experience gives you an edge ; but if you've got solid mechanical instincts and can learn fast, talk to us anyway.
- A valid driver's license is necessary (travel is 1 10% of the time).
The Physical Side of It
You need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely. Ladders are part of your regular toolkit too ; climbing up and down is expected some days. If an accommodation would help you perform these essential functions, let us know; we'll work with you on what's reasonable.
