Job Overview
This role is for someone who doesn't mind spending a lot of time on the road. As a Traveling Retail Associate, you'll be moving between different store locations in and around Oakland, CA, helping wherever there's the most demand. It might be setting up new product displays one day, then covering a shift at a register the next. The work environment changes constantly ; one week you're in a big box retailer, the next you're in a small specialty shop. You'll get familiar with different layouts, teams, and customer bases quickly.

- Stock and organize merchandise. You'll unload delivery trucks, break down boxes, and get products onto shelves or racks according to planograms.
- Assist customers on the sales floor. Answer questions about products, help them find sizes or colors, and make sure they leave satisfied.
- Set up promotional displays. This can mean building endcaps or moving seasonal items to high traffic areas so they catch people's eyes.
- Handle cash register duties when needed. At some locations you might process transactions or handle returns if the regular staff is short handed.
- Tidy up your assigned area throughout each shift. Keeping shelves faced forward, clearing fitting rooms of rejected items, and sweeping aisles as needed.

- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation ; you'll move between multiple stores across Oakland, CA weekly.
- You need to lift at least 40 pounds repeatedly during stock shifts. Not every day requires heavy lifting but it comes up often enough.
- Comfortable standing for seven plus hours straight. Breaks happen but you won't have much sitting time outside of lunches.
- No specific education required; experience in retail inventory or merchandising helps but we see people pick this up fast if they're organized.
