Assistant Director of Nursing

Signature HealthCARE of Norfolk is a 169 bed facility in Norfolk, VA. We handle everything from short term rehab to long term care. Our thing is building a real culture around resident centered services, personalized spirituality, and quality of life.

What you'll do

• Manage specific administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department.
• Work directly with the Director of Nursing on daily operations. You'll help make sure everything aligns with company policy, nursing standards, and all those government regulations to keep care quality high.
• A key part of the job is delegating. You'll give Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors the authority and responsibility they need to do their jobs, and hold them accountable for it.

What you need to bring

• A current state license as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
• At least three years of nursing experience under your belt.
• Management or supervisory experience is a big plus; ideally one to two years of it.
• A current, active CPR certification is required.
