About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this night shift RN role on the new Medical Observation Unit at Wilmington Hospital in Newark, DE.
It's an 8 bed unit for adult patients who need more evaluation after the ER. Think folks being checked for possible stroke, fainting spells, or chest pain. They're usually with you for a day or so; somewhere between 12 and 32 hours on average; before they either go home or move to an inpatient floor if they need longer care. Things move quickly here; you're admitting, assessing, planning care, and discharging pretty much all in the same shift.
There's also a chance to cross train on 3 West, the hospital's 9 bed cardiac care unit for short stay heart patients. So if you like variety and seeing a wide range of medical conditions, this is it.
The Schedule & Pay
This is a full time night position. Shifts run from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You'll need to be available for weekends and holidays as the department schedules them.
The hourly pay range is $41.28 to $66.05. Where you land in that range depends on your skills and experience.
