About This Role
The role
TransForce is looking for a Non CDL Box Truck Driver for a temp to hire position in New York, NY. You'll be doing local deliveries to commercial businesses, schools, and markets across the New York City, Westchester, and Long Island areas. The freight is specialty foods, meats, and dairy, and the truck is a 26ft refrigerated box truck with an automatic transmission.
This is heavy touch work. You'll use a hand cart or pallet jack to make deliveries, and that includes going up and down stairs. It's not a light load.
Schedule and pay
You're looking at a 6 day work week with start times between midnight and 4 AM. Shifts average about 10 hours a day. The pay is $22 an hour, with overtime after 40 hours. Estimated weekly pay is about $1,210.
What you need
- At least 1 year of recent, verifiable box truck driving experience. That's non negotiable.
- A valid Driver's License.
- A valid DOT Medical Card.
- A clean Motor Vehicle Record ; no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- You must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
