Alright, let's talk about this sales role. It's not about pushing boxes; it's about building partnerships with dental practices in the New York, NY area. You're the main point of contact, the one who helps them understand how new tech or equipment can actually improve their business. That means getting to know their office, their challenges, and what they're trying to build.

What you'd be doing

You'd manage and grow a defined territory. Your main focus is becoming a trusted advisor to the dentists and their staff.

  • Develop that "practice partner" relationship by analyzing their business needs and discussing real benefits.
  • You'll talk through equipment and technology solutions, coordinate demos, and explain the return on investment.
  • Staying sharp on Patterson's products, our competitors, and where the dental industry is heading is a big part of it.
  • The job requires keeping meticulous records for customer orders, sales activity, and prospect info.

What you need to bring

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, combined with 3 to 5 years of B2B outside sales experience. We'll consider an equivalent mix of education and hands on experience too.

  • You have to own a valid driver's license; this is a field role.
  • General computer skills are required; think MS Office level proficiency.
  • We need someone with strong initiative, plus solid customer service, planning, and organization skills.
  • Presenting ideas and negotiating effectively are part of the deal. Your interpersonal skills have to be on point.
  • A history of meeting or beating sales goals is a definite plus.
  • If you've got 3 or more years within the dental industry itself, that's a strong preference.
