The job in a nutshell
Proud Moments is hiring a Behavior Technician for part time afternoon work in New York, NY. You'd be working one on one with kids on the autism spectrum, ages 2 to 21, usually in their homes. It's a real chance to make a difference ; and they'll train you so you feel ready from day one.
What you'd actually do
- Run behavioral plans created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect data during sessions to track how the treatment plan is working
- Help the BCBA train families on implementing those plans at home
- Stay responsive to what clients, families, and supervisors need
- Keep communication open with everyone involved ; families, supervisors, anyone else relevant
- Physically keep up with kids as they move through session areas; you'll be standing, sitting, bending, lifting 25+ pounds, running, squatting, kneeling ; basically keeping pace with children aged 2 to 15 years old
- Handle any other tasks your BCBA or Licensed Behavior Analyst outlines

The must haves
- A current active RBT certification
- Reliable transportation to get to clients' homes in New York, NY
- A high school diploma or equivalent at minimum
