Nurse Manager

The Gig

This isn't your average Sanitation Manager role. You'll be the person running the show for Aramark's sanitation department at a facility in New York, NY ; scheduling, training, and assigning your crew every day.

You're the one who makes sure everyone follows Good Manufacturing Practices and government safety standards. And you're also the person doing the interviewing and hiring to build that team from scratch. The shift runs 10pm to 6:30am, so night owls apply here.

What You'll Actually Do

• Schedule, train, organize, and assign employees in daily sanitation operations
• Understand and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices requirements
• Ensure employees follow governmental safety and environmental standards
• Interview and hire all personnel for the department
• Use Fast Financials, SMART ordering, SMILE ordering, and Lotus CC Mail regularly
• Work with Microsoft Word, Excel, WordPerfect, Windows, and UPTIME systems
• Make sure AIB standards are consistently met throughout the facility
• Cover as supervisor when the facility manager or shift supervisor is out
• Act as liaison between Flowers Bakery and Aramark teams
• Lead monthly team meetings and safety meetings
• Tackle any other tasks assigned by the Facility Manager

What You Need to Bring

• Minimum of two to five years of experience in sanitation operations ; no short cuts here.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
• You must read, write, and understand English well enough to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• A working knowledge of machinery related to sanitation operations.
• Comfortable with math concepts like probability and statistics; able to apply basic math functions.
• A solid handle on listening skills, interpersonal skills, computers (see above), and leadership.
• Able to work well under time constraints without melting down.
• A friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and coworkers.

This role might ask you to lift stuff, bend over reach through tight spots push heavy carts pull wet drains ; plus walk around for extended periods standing at your station. Uniforms required along with wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when things get messy inside those processing areas.
