Equipment Operator

About This Role

What You'll Actually Be Doing

This is a senior level gig for someone who genuinely knows hydraulic systems inside and out. You won't be doing basic oil changes or tire rotations. The company needs someone who can handle the heavy stuff: cranes, aerial lifts, service bodies, dump trucks ; you name it.

Your main focus will be diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding complex mobile hydraulic systems. That means pumps, valves, cylinders, PTO systems, electro hydraulic controls ; everything in between. If it's hydraulic and it's broken on a truck or piece of equipment, you're the one they'll call.

  • Troubleshoot and repair cranes of various makes
  • Rebuild hydraulic pumps and cylinders from scratch
  • Diagnose electro hydraulic control issues with precision
  • Work on aerial lifts until they're smooth as butter again
  • Service body and dump truck repairs as needed
  • Perform system tests to confirm everything's running right

The Schedule & Pay That Actually Makes Sense

Let's talk about something rare: a predictable schedule that doesn't wreck your life outside work. Monday through Friday. 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. That's it. No rotating shifts, no weekend surprises.

The pay range lands between $37 and $48 per hour depending on what you bring to the table. And here's where it gets interesting ; the company picks up 100% of your healthcare premiums. Not some percentage. All of it.

What You Need To Bring

This isn't an entry level spot. You need real years under your belt working with mobile hydraulics on trucks and heavy equipment. A CDL helps but isn't required unless they say so in your interview.

  • A Hydraulic Certification from IFPS puts you ahead of most candidates
  • Manufacturer certifications through National Crane, Elliot, Palfinger, Hiab ; these matter a lot here
  • A solid mechanical mindset that goes beyond just swapping parts
  • The confidence to diagnose tough problems without guessing
  • The ability to work independently while still coordinating with the shop team when needed

Certs aren't everything though if you've got the real experience we can talk about how to get you certified down the road.

The Benefits Package (The Full Picture)

Beyond the full healthcare coverage they offer a full slate of benefits that make this role worth sticking around for:

  • A 401(k) plan so your future self thanks you later
  • Paid time off that actually lets you take vacations or stay home sick without stress
