Maintenance Mechanic - All Shifts
A leading food manufacturer with a strong reputation and long standing retail partnerships is looking for experienced Maintenance Mechanics to join their team in New York, NY. This isn't just another production job; it's a chance to work with high quality products that sit on shelves everywhere.
What you'll do
- Support production teams by keeping all production lines running
- Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment
- Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production, packaging, and all other plant areas
- Handle everything from equipment installation to rebuilding, fitting, and aligning equipment to meet quality and efficiency standards
- Use strong electrical knowledge to troubleshoot controls including PLCs, VFDs, servos, robotics, and programmable devices
Work schedule
We're hiring across all three shifts. You'll work every other weekend with days off on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays ; giving you a 5 day workweek. Overtime is available if you want to earn more.
- 1st shift: 6am to 3pm
- 2nd shift: 2pm to 11pm
- 3rd shift: 10pm to 7am
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience with mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, and electrical repair
- A proven ability to operate safely and follow all food and people guidelines
- An organized, methodical approach to problem solving ; especially in time sensitive situations where accuracy matters
- A genuine interest in learning new mechanical technologies
- The ability to work hard and collaborate so the whole team succeeds
Pay and benefits
- $40 to $45 per hour, plus a $7,000 sign on bonus
