Director of Nursing

Hey, it's me again. Bushwick Center in New York, NY needs a Director of Nursing. This is the top clinical leadership role at our 225 bed rehab and skilled nursing facility.

What you'll do

You're in charge of the entire nursing operation. That means supervising all nursing staff and being the final word on nursing policy and procedure; you'll develop it and implement it.

• Hiring nurses and managing their continued employment is on your desk.
• You'll make sure we have enough nurses on shift and that their skills are current.
• The conduct and performance of the nursing team falls under your oversight.
• You need to know about any incident that happens in the facility.
• A big part of the job is assessing the health needs of each resident in our care.

What you need to bring

The basics are non negotiable. You must have a current State RN license.

• A minimum of five years working in long term care settings.
• At least two years of that experience needs to be in a supervisory capacity.
• We'll need evidence that you've got strong supervision and leadership skills. Be ready to show how you've led teams before.
