Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support and palliative care considerations as part of holistic patient management.

Requirements

  • A current, unrestricted RN license valid in the state where New Orleans, LA is situated.
  • Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) is strongly preferred, or a commitment to obtain it.
  • Recent hands on experience in an oncology unit, infusion center, or similar setting.
  • You need a solid grasp of chemotherapy drugs, their protocols, and emergency response procedures.
  • The job involves prolonged standing, walking, and occasionally assisting patients.
  • Candidates must demonstrate resilience and the capacity to handle emotionally challenging situations with compassion.
