About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this job. We're a mechanical contractor that handles big commercial and industrial projects; HVAC, plumbing, the whole deal. The work is steady, the projects are long term, and we need someone who knows how to run a crew.
The Work
You'd be the Plumbing Foreman on site. That means you're running the show for all the plumbing work. You'll look at mechanical drawings and plans to figure out layouts and installations. Your crew's schedule? That's on you to coordinate and keep moving. You'll inspect and test systems to make sure everything works right and meets code.
When there's a problem or a question from your team, you're the one providing answers and technical guidance. You're also the main point of contact for project managers and engineers, making sure our plumbing work fits perfectly with the overall construction plan. Keeping clear records of what got done, what materials were used, and any issues that came up is a big part of it too; you'll pass those updates along regularly.
What You Need to Bring
- At least 5 years working as a Foreman in mechanical construction.
- A solid 10 years of hands on experience in commercial plumbing.
- You have to know commercial and industrial systems inside out; think hydronic, domestic water, gas piping, drainage.
- The ability to read mechanical drawings, plans, and specs isn't just nice to have; it's essential.
- You've managed crews before and know how to keep skilled tradespeople coordinated and effective.
- When something goes wrong (and it will), you can figure out a solution quickly.
- Talking with your team, project managers, engineers; you need to be clear and direct.
- A real focus on doing quality work safely isn't something we compromise on.
