What this role is about

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN needs a CDU Registered Nurse. This isn't just a job where you show up and clock out. You'll coordinate care for patients, work alongside physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and provide both physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Your daily work will include assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, patient education, making sure equipment is maintained properly, and communicating patient needs.

You'll also do patient rounding to push patient satisfaction and quality standards higher. You'll use the nursing process to tailor care to each patient's needs. And you'll get to show off your technical skills and procedures knowledge.

What you need to bring

  • A minimum of 1 year of med/surg experience
  • A diploma from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
  • A current license from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or another acceptable Board of Nursing
  • Current BLS certification
  • A commitment to pursue and complete Med Surg certification within 1 year from your start date

Where you'll work

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a 250+ bed facility. It's Tennessee's first comprehensive stroke center and a national leader in neuroscience. The hospital has 3 helipads, new ICU and Medical/Surgical floors, and burn care services. You'll find a CARF accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation program and an ACS verified Level II Trauma Center. It's also an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, making it a top provider of emergency heart care.
