About This Role

What you'll do

This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys teaching on the fly. As a Clinical Support Coordinator in Pediatrics, you will be the go to mentor for nurses who are either brand new or moving into a new specialty. Your main focus is helping them feel confident, develop clinical judgment, and deliver safe care. You will not be behind a desk all day.

  • Round on nursing units to observe care, offer real time coaching, and reinforce safe nursing practices
  • Guide new and transitioning nurses through skill development, clinical judgment, care planning, and knowing when to escalate
  • Provide hands on support during rapid responses and codes, including clinical debriefs to lock in learning
  • Teach, demonstrate, and troubleshoot essential nursing skills while identifying common training gaps
  • Reinforce safety standards, regulatory expectations, and communication techniques like AIDET, teach back, and narrating care
  • Partner with unit leaders to support nurse growth, improve practice, and build a culture of accountability and teamwork

What you'll need

  • You need to be a Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree, or a Diploma in Nursing
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required and must be obtained within 30 days of your start date

About the facility

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a 740+ bed comprehensive facility located on a 43 acre campus in Nashville, TN.
