The Role

This is a Labor and Delivery RN position at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. It's direct patient care work, grounded in the Registered Nurse Practice Act, and you'll be managing the full scope of nursing for each patient you see.

What You'll Actually Do

• Use therapeutic communication every day, keep the environment safe, and identify nursing problems tied to each patient's individual needs.
• Apply age specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, and treatment across your patient population.
• Protect patient privacy and the confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI) ; that's non negotiable.
• Follow the nursing process for individualized care and document everything thoroughly.
• Handle technical skills and procedures with critical thinking, every shift.
• Coordinate care that aligns with the hospital's mission and vision.

What You Need

• A degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.).
• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• Labor and Delivery experience is highly preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• NRP required within 6 months of hire.
• AWHONN basic, intermediate, and advanced certifications all required within one year.
• CPI Training & Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Current licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Compact State license.
