Dental Assistant

About This Role

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) ; Part Time

This one's for a dental assistant who doesn't just show up. You're the person who sees what needs doing and does it, without someone hovering over you. The practice in Nashville, TN is growing and they need someone part time who can handle the clinical work and still keep things moving smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll assist with real procedures, not just hand instruments. The day to day includes:

  • Composite restorations, crowns, bridges ; the bread and butter restorative work
  • Digital impressions and removables
  • Oral surgery assisting when cases come in
  • Coronal polishing to finish things off right
  • Keeping yourself organized and on schedule so the whole team stays on time
  • Stepping in wherever support is needed, even if it's not technically "your job" that minute
  • Building genuine relationships with patients and coworkers ; this isn't a place where people stay silent in corners

What They Need From You

  • A current EFDA certification ; non negotiable here
  • Real clinical experience working as an EFDA; this isn't an entry level spot
  • A proactive mindset. You shouldn't need to be told to help or to ask what's next.
  • The kind of attention to detail that keeps a schedule running tight without rushing through patient care
  • A genuine interest in learning more and getting better at what you do ; they value professional growth here
  • The ability to work well with others. Coworkers want someone who contributes to a good culture, not someone who drags it down.
