Registered Nurse

Hey there. I'm putting this listing together for a Registered Nurse position at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. They're looking to add someone to their acute care team.

The Role

You'll be delivering patient centered care, following the "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage" nursing model. It's about collaborating with providers and the full care team to give personalized, compassionate care. You're also an advocate for patients and their families.

Here’s what that looks like day to day:

• Assessing each patient's condition on admission and during every shift; you need to spot changes in status and report them right away.
• Performing procedures and monitoring as ordered by medical providers.
• Documenting all the care you give thoroughly and on time in the patient's record.
• Administering prescribed medications and monitoring for therapeutic response; you have to take appropriate action if there's an unintended reaction.
• A big part of it is responding quickly to patient requests and anticipating their needs before they even ask.
• You'll educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, meds, possible side effects, and follow up. That means translating complex medical info into something they can completely understand.

What You Need

A few non negotiables here. You must be a Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree. And you need to obtain your Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of starting the job. That's it from a paperwork standpoint.
