Banquet Cook

The Role

Goodwin Recruiting is looking for a Banquet Cook to work in an upscale hospitality environment at Montgomery, AL. This isn't just any kitchen job. You'll be cooking for high volume banquets, receptions, on site events, off site catering, and even café production. It's a hands on role where you own the execution; hot food, cold food, canapés, desserts, everything. You'll work closely with the Executive Chef and event teams on menu planning and customization, making sure every plate that goes out is consistent and precise.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily banquet kitchen operations, including on site events, off site catering, and café production
• Lead and supervise the Chef de Partie, cooks, and stewarding team members
• Develop training programs and build a positive, accountable kitchen culture
• Partner with the Executive Chef and event teams to plan and customize menus
• Execute hot production, garde manger, canapés, desserts, and reception style food with consistency
• Manage inventory, ordering, and event based forecasting to keep stock steady
• Monitor food cost, portion control, and labor efficiency to hit financial goals
• Review BEOs and ensure timing, presentation, and dietary accommodations are spot on

What You Bring

• At least 5 years of high volume banquet kitchen experience
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a culinary setting
• Strong skills in hot production, garde manger, baking, and pastry
• Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
• Sharp organizational and time management skills
• A flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
