What the job is

Pilot Flying J runs high volume quick service restaurants inside travel centers. They need a Restaurant Assistant Manager in Mobile, AL to help run one of those locations. You'd work alongside the Restaurant General Manager, and when they're out, you're the one running the show.

The pay range for this role is $41,700.00 to $60,460.00 per year. It's a management position, not an entry level gig.

What you'll actually do day to day

• Step in for the Restaurant General Manager when they're not around
• Help the GM pick new team members, coach them up, and train them
• Direct the team and assign who does what during each shift
• Keep the work environment positive ; nobody wants to work in a toxic spot
• Speed up food service when it gets backed up, and help prep food when needed
• Make sure customers are happy, the food tastes right, the restaurant stays clean, and food safety is tight

What you need to bring

• High school diploma or equivalent certification
• At least one year of food service management experience
• Solid team leadership skills ; you've got to direct people without being a jerk
• Strong customer service instincts
• Integrity and accountability at a management level
• A flexible schedule ; this isn't a 9 to 5 desk job
