Occupational Health RN

What this role is about

This is a part time Occupational Health RN position with Ascension at the Heritage Center in Milwaukee, WI. You'll work Monday through Friday during daytime hours. The job focuses on keeping the organization's own employees healthy and safe.

What you'll actually do

• Treat work related injuries and illnesses that happen on the job.
• Run pre employment health screenings and immunization clinics.
• Make sure workplace safety laws and regulations are being followed.
• Lead safety training sessions for employees.
• Counsel employees about occupational injuries and illnesses, plus other health concerns.
• Track patterns in employee safety incidents and work with coworkers to figure out where the risks are.
• Provide health care services under the organization's policies, procedures, and protocols.

What you need to bring

• A current Registered Nurse license for the state where you'll work. That has to be in hand before your hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. You have 30 days from your hire or transfer date to get this.
• A diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing. Or you can show your professional nursing license at the time of hire instead.
