About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this travel role. It's not your standard hospital gig. You'd be part of Ascension's Associate Travel Program, working in Cardiac Cath Labs at their acute care hospitals. The location is Milwaukee, WI, but there are options for local and national travel depending on what's needed.
The Work
You're the one making sure everything runs smoothly in the lab. That means assisting with diagnostic and treatment procedures from start to finish.
- You'll review patient histories and get testing sites ready.
- A big part of the job is monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures, watching for anything abnormal.
- After a procedure, you interpret test results and correct any recording errors.
- Keeping the lab functional is on you too. You ensure equipment is clean and orderly, report malfunctions, and handle lock/tag out procedures when necessary.
What You Need to Bring
The credentials are non negotiable here. You must have your BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within one month of starting.
On top of that, you need at least one of these credentials obtained before your hire date:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist from CCI.
- Cardiographic Tech credential from CCI.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography from ARRT.
- Cardiac Sonographer credential from ARDMS.
Having Advanced Life Support certification is a plus; they prefer it from AHA or Red Cross. An Approved Local Exception is also preferred.
For education and experience, you can meet it a few ways: a High School diploma with 2 years of cumulative experience, an Associate's or Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable job specific experience.
The Schedule & Pay
This is a full time position at 40 hours a week. Multiple shifts are available. The gross weekly rate goes up to $3,684.
