About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this job. It's a field based Clinical Educator role with Inizio Engage, supporting a biopharma client in oncology. You're the person bringing the education directly to healthcare offices.
What you'll do
The core of the job is providing product and disease state education to doctors and their office staff. You'll be in oncology offices, giving in services.
- Your presentations cover product specifics, disease info, dosing protocols, administration, and potential adverse events.
- You tailor these programs to what each specific office needs.
- A big part of the role is coordination with the client's sales team; you'll schedule travel and communicate regularly with their reps and district managers.
- There's reporting. Every customer interaction gets logged; what type of education happened, how long it was, which office you visited.
- You handle all the admin that comes with a territory: daily computer updates, weekly activity summaries, emails, monthly expense reports.
- Travel is part of the deal. It varies by territory but could be up to 100%, including overnights.
- You'll attend required training, local or national meetings to stay current.
- Keeping your nursing license in good standing is non negotiable. So is having a valid US driver's license at all times; you need to notify the company immediately if you get any violations or points.
What you need to have
The requirements are pretty specific here. They're looking for an RN with deep oncology experience who's comfortable on the road and in front of a group.
- An active nursing license in good standing for at least one state where you'll be conducting in services.
- A solid three years of oncology nursing experience. That has to include direct patient care, physical assessment, patient education, and group in servicing.
- Proficiency in peripheral IV access is required.
- Chemotherapy infusion experience is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license and proof of insurance are must haves for all that travel.
- You've got to communicate well, both speaking and writing. Presenting one on one or to a group should be second nature.
- The admin side of managing a territory? You can handle that too.
The nice to haves
A couple things aren't required but would make you stand out:
- A certification in IV Therapy (CRNI) is preferred. Adult oncology experience is also looked on favorably. Demonstrable organizational skills or previous territory management experience gives you an edge. They describe their ideal candidate as a self starter with high personal motivation. Strong problem solving skills round out the profile they want.
