The Role
HCA Florida Mercy Hospital in Miami, FL is looking for a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The person in this spot does the professional work needed to keep our Nuclear Imaging, Medicine, and PET programs running smoothly. This is mostly about diagnosing adult and geriatric patients. You'll work within specific guidelines of practice ; following the ALARA program to keep radiation exposure low for yourself, the staff, patients, physicians, and anyone else who walks through the door.
What You'll Actually Do
- Provide the professional care necessary to achieve the goals of the Nuclear Imaging, Medicine, and PET programs
- Diagnose mostly adult and geriatric patients at Mercy Hospital
- Maintain a safe and efficient working environment in the Nuclear Imaging, Medicine, and PET departments
- Follow the ALARA program to minimize radiation exposure to self, staff, patients, physicians, and visitors
What You Need to Qualify
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification ; must be obtained within 30 days of your start date
- (RT) Radiologic Technologist / Radiographer credential
- Associate degree
- Either (CNMT) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification or (ARRT R) Radiography certification
