This Maintenance role in Miami, FL is about keeping our facilities clean, safe, and working right. You'll be the person making sure the place looks good and everything functions as it should. You'll follow our standard procedures and help out wherever you're needed. If you take pride in a clean, orderly space and don't mind jumping in when things get busy, this could be your spot.
What You'll Actually Do
- Sweep, mop, and clean all lobbies and offices whenever they need it. Walk the entire facility every day to see what needs attention.
- Keep the inside of the facility clean and pleasant. Empty every trash can and pick up any litter around the property.
- Check the condition of safety items like shuttles, gate arms, and lot security. If something's broken or needs repair, submit a request to the Facility Manager.
- Report anything suspicious, any safety hazard, or any violation of company policy to the Facility Manager right away. Don't wait on it.
- Work with everyone else on the team to give the best service possible to our guests, whether they're internal or external.
- Help out in other departments and other roles when things get slow or when someone needs a hand.
- Keep an inventory of all maintenance supplies and order more when you're running low.
- Have a working knowledge of shuttle maintenance repairs, utility rooms, and revenue control equipment.
- You might cross train for other frontline positions if management asks you to.
- Do whatever else management reasonably asks, especially during slower periods.
What You Need to Bring
- A high school diploma or the equivalent.
- Some previous experience in housecleaning or general maintenance.
- A valid driver's license.
- You need to be able to read and speak English well enough to talk with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official questions, and fill out reports and records. This one's required by DOT regulations.
- Some supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
- You can safely lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with or without an accommodation.
- You're okay working in inclement weather. It happens.
