What you’ll actually do here

You’re in the Cath Lab at UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital. Under the direction of the director or charge person, you’ll monitor procedures ; all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies. You’ll make sure patients are safe, and you’ll work as a scrub assistant. This is a PRN Day Shift position.

The place you’d be working

This is a Heart and Vascular team that stays close knit. Two Cath Labs, Cardiac Rehab, Cardio diagnostics ; it's a mix of clinical excellence and current technology. The team handles interventional cardiac catheterizations, peripheral procedures, and electrophysiology device implantations. Providers here are passionate about what they do and they actively share knowledge with staff. Your manager is a servant leader type with 10 years under their belt at UF Health Spanish Plaines. They take your growth seriously.

What you need to have

• An Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy

Or in lieu of that degree: at least five years of experience plus one of these certifications (must get within 12 months of hire):

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification or
• Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification

Licensure:

• The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification is preferred but not required right away.
• If you don't have ARRT certification when hired, you'll need one of these four licenses or certifications within 12 months:
• A Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license or
• A Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist license or
• The RCIS certification or
• The RCES certification

Certs:

• BLS required from day one.
• ACLS also required from day one.
