About This Role

What This Role Is Really About

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of East Valley is looking for a Registered Nurse in Mesa, AZ. If you've been doing this work long enough to know that real healing happens in the small moments, you'll feel at home here. You'll guide patients through their recovery using your clinical judgment and a genuine connection with each person. It's not just about tasks ; it's about understanding what each patient needs to get back to their life.

You'll work in an inpatient rehab setting where the technology supports your skills, not the other way around. And when a patient hits a milestone ; even a small one ; that's the kind of thing we stop and recognize.

What You'll Actually Do Day to Day

  • Supervise care and treatments across your assigned patients; you're the one making sure everything stays on track.
  • Lead patient assessments and tailor care plans to each individual's recovery goals.
  • Address patient concerns directly and provide direct patient care when it's needed most.
  • Build real relationships with patients and their families. You'll learn what matters to them so you can support their unique path.
  • Collaborate with other departments ; PT, OT, speech, physicians ; to keep care coordinated and seamless.
  • Serve as a resource for your fellow staff when they have complex patient needs or questions.
  • Celebrate the victories along the way. Recovery is hard work; those wins deserve recognition.

The Qualifications We Need From You

  • A valid RN license as required by state regulations in Mesa, AZ.
  • CPR certification is required; ACLS is preferred but not mandatory.
  • CRRN certification is preferred if you have it, but not required to start.
  • A year of experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting is preferred, but if you're close to that, we want to talk anyway.

The Kind of Benefits That Actually Matter

Your benefits start on day one. Not after some waiting period ; day one. Here's what that looks like:

  • Medical, dental, and vision plans that are affordable for both full time and part time employees (and yes, coverage extends to your family).
  • Generous paid time off that actually accrues over time so you can take the breaks you need.
  • Tuition reimbursement opportunities plus ongoing education support if you want to grow your skills or certifications.
  • A 401(k) with company match and an employee stock purchase plan if you're thinking long term.
  • Flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts to help manage out of pocket costs.
