About This Role

The Gig

This is a full time Physical Therapist Assistant role with Tennessee Quality Care, part of the Addus family. You'll be doing home health visits in Memphis, TN. It's a Monday through Friday schedule, roughly 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Think of it as getting out of the clinic and into people's actual living rooms. You're helping them recover from surgery, manage a chronic condition, or just get back to doing what they love ; all in the comfort of their own home.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Deliver physical therapy services under a licensed PT's direction, following the physician's plan of care and state rules.
  • Help patients reduce pain, restore function, and hit their maximum performance level.
  • Guide them through therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer activities, and functional mobility tasks.
  • Administer non complex treatments like therapeutic exercise, massage, traction, and physical modalities (heat, cold, water, electrical stimulation).
  • Instruct, motivate, and support patients as they work on improving their functional abilities.
  • Keep an eye on patient progress and report back to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Handle clinical documentation ; you'll need to submit notes and progress reports on time.
  • Report any changes in a patient's condition to the supervising PT and the Director of Nursing or Director of Therapy.
  • Teach patients how to use assistive devices like wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.

What You Need to Bring

  • A graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program ; that's an Associate's degree in science or applied science, approved by the APTA.
  • Current PTA license in the state where you'll be practicing.
  • At least one year of experience as a PTA (they prefer this, but it's not a hard requirement).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • You can handle home visits and provide care in a home environment.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current auto insurance ; that's non negotiable.

The Good Stuff (Benefits)

  • Pay that's competitive for the market.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays ; you'll accrue PTO from day one.
  • Mileage reimbursement for all those home visits.
  • A 401(k) with a company match that's actually decent.
  • Comprehensive benefits package that kicks in the first of the month after you start.
  • Tuition reimbursement if you want to keep learning.
  • An employee referral program ; bring your friends, get paid.
  • Merit based increases, so your pay grows with your performance.
  • Employee discount programs for everyday stuff.
  • A supportive, team oriented culture where you're not just a number.
