
About This Role
Baptist Urgent Care in Memphis, TN needs an X Ray Tech. You'd be doing the imaging, but also stepping in to help with patient flow and clinical support like a Medical Assistant would. It's a hands on, varied role where you're a crucial part of the clinic's day.
What you'll do
A typical shift mixes radiology with patient care. You're not just behind the machine.
- Greet patients and keep them informed about wait times and next steps.
- Perform all x ray procedures, ensuring quality and proper safety techniques.
- Take patient vitals, document brief histories, and assist providers during exams.
- Help at the front desk with check in or check out if things get busy.
- Keep rooms stocked and make sure equipment is functioning; report any issues right away.
- Your documentation needs to be timely and accurate for every patient visit.
- Follow up with patients by phone when needed.
The schedule
This is a full time position. You'd work a rotating 36 to 40 hours each week on 12 hour weekday shifts, plus every other weekend.
They also hire PRN (per diem) staff for as needed shifts if that's more your style.
What you need to have
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- You must have current BLS Certification.
- A valid Arkansas State X Ray License is required for this role.
- ARRT Certification is a strong plus.
- Any prior experience working as a Medical Assistant is also preferred.

In Memphis, TN, they're open seven days a week: weekdays from 8am to 8pm, Saturdays 9am to 5pm, and Sundays 1pm to 5pm. It's walk in care for injuries, illnesses, and occupational health.
