The Role

Uro Center Memphis is looking for an OR RN who can both circulate and scrub in our Ambulatory Surgical Center in Memphis, TN. This isn't a floor nursing job ; you'll be right there in the OR, acting as the intermediary between the surgical team and the rest of the center. You'll manage the patient's nursing care from before the procedure through recovery, and you'll directly assist the surgeon with tasks like hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and positioning the patient on the table.

What You'll Actually Do

• You'll prepare the operating room itself ; making sure all instruments, supplies, and equipment are ready and set up before the surgeon walks in.
• During the procedure you'll handle scrub functions: selecting and passing instruments, managing supplies as they're used.
• You'll also handle circulating functions ; monitoring the patient, recording their condition, and communicating with the rest of the center throughout the surgery.
• When the surgeon needs a hand with hemostasis or closing, you're the one stepping in to assist directly.

What You Need to Bring

• A current RN license from an accredited school of nursing.
• A current CPR certification and ACLS certification.
• At least two years of OR experience ; this isn't a position for new graduates or nurses who've never worked in surgery.
• You must be able to scrub as well as circulate. That's non negotiable for this role.
