Conway Services Heating & Cooling, part of American Residential Services (ARS), is looking for an in home HVAC sales rep in Memphis, TN. This isn't a cold calling role. You get warm leads ; about 3 to 4 scheduled appointments each day. The company expects a minimum of 55 leads per month, though that number can go up or down depending on the weather and season.
Your job is simple: meet with homeowners, check out their current heating and cooling setups, and then recommend replacement systems they'll actually want. It's a one call close environment. You handle the consult, you present the financing options, you close the deal. Then you hand things off to the installation crew so it all goes smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Sit down with homeowners during prescheduled appointments to figure out what heating or cooling system makes sense for their house
- Inspect existing furnaces, AC units, heat pumps ; which often means climbing into attics on blistering summer days or squeezing into crawlspaces when it's cold and wet
- Walk customers through your professional recommendations for system upgrades or replacements
- Explain financing options clearly so the customer understands their choices
- Close sales right then and there during that single visit
- Keep the whole experience professional from first handshake until installation wraps up
- Coordinate with the installers so nobody drops the ball after you leave
Compensation & Perks
The pay here is commission based. Top performers in this kind of role typically earn between $100K and $200K+ annually (not guaranteed ; that's just what the best reps bring home). When you're starting out, there's a training salary that shifts over to a draw once you're ramped up. Commission checks come weekly so you always know where you stand.
