Dental Hygienist

The Basics

Bartlett Dental Associates needs an experienced Dental Hygienist for a part time schedule in Memphis, TN.

You'd work two days a week: Monday from 7:40 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday from 7:40 AM to 2:00 PM. That's it. Straightforward schedule.

This office is supported by Heartland Dental, which is the country's largest dental support organization ; they handle the behind the scenes stuff so your focus stays on patients. But clinically, you report to your doctor, who keeps full control over treatment decisions and care philosophy.

What You'll Actually Do

• Screen patients, take medical histories, and document everything clearly
• Perform dental hygiene procedures based on each patient's needs
• Give patients the time they deserve ; no rushing through appointments
• Use tools like Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x rays, and electronic medical record systems
• Focus on preventative care and long term maintenance of patient dental health
• Work as an integral part of the patient care team alongside the doctor and other staff

What You Need to Bring

• A current dental hygienist license in Tennessee (non negotiable)
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene where required by state or employer policy
• A solid working knowledge of dentistry and dental hygiene procedures ; not just textbook stuff but real experience with patient screening and history documentation
• A current CPR certification
• A desire to keep learning. Seriously. They want someone who genuinely wants to improve their clinical skills over time.
• The physical ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 45 pounds occasionally, and perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
• Availability for periodic virtual or in person training sessions throughout the year
