Frontend Developer

The Gist

We're a full service mechanical (HVAC) subcontractor in Ohio. We do commercial, residential, and industrial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems. We're looking for someone to own the sales side of building automation in Manhattan, NY.

What you'll actually do

• Estimate, plan, specify, and negotiate building automation and energy services solutions. This covers both new construction and retrofit markets.
• Build long term business to business relationships with BAS customers. You'll provide consulting support to architects, engineers, contractors, and owners on building control and mechanical systems.
• Work directly with our engineers and technicians to make sure projects get implemented the right way.
• Give industry presentations and seminars. The goal is to educate and influence the consulting, contracting, and building engineering communities.
• Call on a wide range of customers: data centers, hospitals and healthcare facilities, government buildings, school districts, higher education campuses ; that sort of thing.

What you need to bring

• An engineering undergraduate degree ; or an equivalent combo of education plus experience.
• You have some building controls or mechanical systems experience (or if you're a trainee type who's familiar through education).
• Professional business to business sales experience is required.
• A working knowledge of DDC Control Theory & Applications plus mechanical systems.
• You're familiar with at least one major platform: Siemens, Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls, Alerton, Delta Controls, Trane, or ALC.
• Tridium Niagara experience? That's a definite plus ; but not required.

The salary range for this role is $100k to $150k per year.
