This NICU RN position is for nurses who thrive in a specialized, high stakes care environment. Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive patient care for neonates, including assessments, medication administration, and ventilator support.

- Provide hands on education and emotional support to new parents, guiding them through feeding techniques and infant care.

- Document all interventions and patient progress with precision in the electronic health record.
Requirements
- A current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Louisville, KY.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) is mandatory; many employers prefer or require Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC NIC) certification.
- Recent clinical experience in a Level III or IV NICU is typically needed; this isn't an entry level staff nurse role.
- The ability to stay focused during long shifts where situations can change rapidly. It's mentally demanding work.
