Service Technician

The role

You'll service and repair washers, dryers, and air vending machines at customer locations across Los Angeles, CA. It's a Monday through Friday gig where you work independently, diagnosing problems and getting machines back up and running. You own your route and your day.

What you'll actually do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair washing machines, dryers, and air vending machines. You follow manufacturer guidelines and safety standards to get it right the first time.
• Run routine maintenance and preventative service on appliances. That means cleaning, lubricating, swapping worn parts, and adjusting settings to keep everything running smooth.
• Talk with customers face to face. You answer their questions, explain what happened, and give them advice on how to keep their machines in good shape.
• Keep detailed records of every service call: what you fixed, what parts you used, and any other relevant info. Then log it all in our internal system.
• Track your inventory of spare parts and tools. You'll order what you need so you're never stuck without the right part on a job.
• Work safely. You follow all safety protocols when handling electrical systems and appliances. Protecting yourself and the customer's property is part of the job.

What you bring

• A valid driver's license and a clean enough background to pass pre employment screening.
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge. You don't need to be a master, but you should be comfortable with the fundamentals.
• Previous experience in appliance repair or a related field helps, but it's not a dealbreaker if you don't have it.
• Good people skills. You know how to interact with customers in a professional, friendly way.
• The ability to work alone, manage your time, and keep moving without someone looking over your shoulder.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle and maneuver heavy appliances. You can lift up to 75 pounds. You'll work in all kinds of conditions, both weather and non weather related.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
