Senior Product Engineer – Renewable Energy
This is a 100% remote role that comes with full family health coverage, a generous PTO package, and a profit sharing bonus. The pay range is $100k to $120k per year. We're a renewable energy company focused on utility scale solar projects across North and South America, and we've been pushing forward the way solar efficiency gets optimized. What you'll do
- Design and improve solar and wind measurement systems using electrical and/or mechanical engineering principles.
- Run system validation and testing to check functionality, performance, and safety of our products.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and put real solutions in place ; not just temporary fixes.
- Work with cross functional teams so our products meet customer needs and industry standards.
- Own complete systems design ; electrical, mechanical, structural components ; from concept to final physical build. That includes overseeing how systems are configured for manufacturability, efficient installation, and long term reliability.
Qualifications we actually need
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience taking products through the full lifecycle ; from concept to finished hardware.
- Solid understanding of system validation and testing procedures. You should know what works and what doesn't before it ships.
- Experience designing hardware systems for weather or meteorological measurement: solar radiation, wind data collection, or other environmental monitoring events.
- A background in solar or another renewable energy sector ; that's non negotiable here.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Bluebeam, or similar design tools.
- Willingness to travel about 25% each month to Los Angeles for in person collaboration when needed.
