
About This Role
What you'll do in this role
You'll manage medical leave and disability cases day to day. That means partnering closely with HR and leaders to guide them through complex health situations, keeping everything compliant, and supporting employees when they need it most.
You'll oversee and improve corporate programs for medical leave, disability, and health and wellbeing. This includes managing FMLA, ADA, and Extended Illness Absence Plans while balancing employee needs with what the business requires. You'll deliver training and consultation to managers, HR staff, and business leaders on leave management and regulatory requirements. And you'll work with key stakeholders to create return to work strategies and resolve complicated cases. A big part of the role is analyzing business trends and regulatory changes to build proactive solutions that keep the company compliant and on track.
What you'll bring
- An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska, Iowa, or a Compact (NLC) state
- A strong clinical nursing background, with experience in acute care, clinic, or specialty practice
- Solid critical thinking and problem solving skills; you work well on your own and with others
- Comfort with relevant software and technology
- A commitment to diversity and inclusion ; you value different ideas, listen openly, and stay curious
- Ability to work at our home office in Omaha, Nebraska, in a hybrid environment; you'll go into the office as business needs require
Preferred qualifications
- A BSN or related degree
- Experience in Occupational Health, Case Management, or Group Benefits Administration, especially with disability management and regulatory compliance
- Certification and hands on experience in Case Management, with a track record of handling complex cases
- You're a self starter who learns quickly, delivers high quality work, and pays close attention to detail
- You meet deadlines consistently and stay accurate even when things move fast
Compensation and benefits
Estimated salary range is $68,000 to $85,000, plus an annual bonus opportunity. There's a 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and a 6% company match. You'll get vacation, personal time, and paid holidays. Check our benefits and perks page for the full details.
