Nutritionist at Monte Nido Eating Disorder Center of Manhattan

This is a part time Nutritionist role at our eating disorder day treatment program in Los Angeles, CA. We work exclusively with adults recovering from Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Exercise Addiction. Clients move through partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming, with group and individual therapy backed by clinical, medical, psychiatric, and nutritional expertise.

You'd be a key part of both the leadership team and the clinical team. That means you'll collaborate across disciplines every day to make sure clients get the care they need. Our nutrition approach comes from one core foundation: health, freedom from disordered eating behaviors, and a developmentally appropriate path toward self trust and internally directed eating. It's HAES informed care ; meaning we recognize that healthy bodies come in all shapes and sizes, that every body deserves nourishment and satiety, and that weight loss attempts don't belong in eating disorder recovery.

What You'll Do

• Full oversight of meals prepared for clients on campus
• Proper documentation for all nutritional services
• Make sure every nutritional service meets established standards and regulations
• Conduct nutrition assessments for clients
• Monitor each client's nutrition intake
• Participate in the treatment team's development of the Master Treatment Plan

Schedule & Pay

The schedule runs Wednesday through Saturday. Pay is between $30.77 and $37.50 per hour.

What You Need

• A Bachelor's degree at minimum in Nutrition or a related human services field
• At least one year working or interning in healthcare; a psychiatric setting is preferred but not required
• A current Registered Dietitian credential (that's non negotiable)
• CPR/BLS certification ; if you don't have it yet you'll need to get it before starting work
• Strong computer skills are expected here; this is a hands on job but you still need tech comfort for documentation systems
• A genuine passion for helping clients reach their best outcomes ; that matters as much as any credential on this list
• Solid written and spoken communication skills since you're coordinating with multiple disciplines daily
