Network Engineer

What This Role Is All About

This isn't a maintenance gig. It's a building role, full stop. You're coming in as Vice President of Electric Utilities to lead one of the company's most critical growth engines. You'll sit at the executive table, shape strategy, and drive real expansion into investor owned utilities. The team already has strong technical talent in substation design, protection and control, relay settings, and transmission line engineering. Down the road, that portfolio could grow to include distribution and other verticals. What they need now is a leader who can bring clarity, structure, and a strategic vision ; someone who's been there before but still has the fire to build something new.

The Day to Day Stuff You'd Own

• Drive aggressive revenue growth by developing strategy, expanding client relationships, and locking down multi year partnerships with IOUs.
• Build and scale systems, teams, and processes so you can deliver consistent quality at scale.
• Mentor and elevate the current VP while developing high potential teams across utilities.
• Sit as a visible member of the senior leadership team; shape how the company approaches markets and maps its long term roadmap.
• Partner with sales and business development to win new work with large utilities.
• Lead through complexity ; balancing technical rigor with commercial savvy and people leadership.

What You Need to Bring

• S least 10 years of engineering experience overall, with at least 5 of those in engineering leadership.
• Real hands on expertise in utilities: substation work, transmission systems, high voltage stuff.
• A track record leading large multi disciplinary teams and scaling delivery without losing quality.
• High EQ leadership style ; you focus on mentorship, clarity of direction, and keeping morale solid.
• Strong commercial chops: P&L ownership experience plus proven success in business development.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or something closely related. A PE license is preferred but not required.
• Authorization to work full time in the U.S.. That's non negotiable for this one.
