Enrichment Leader
Belmont Village Senior Living in Los Angeles, CA needs a part time Enrichment Leader to work with seniors who have cognitive disabilities. This isn't just a job where you pass out puzzles. You'll actually plan, organize, and lead specialized group activities for residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community.
The schedule is set: Sundays and Mondays, 9am to 5:30pm. If that works for you, keep reading.
What You'll Do
- Lead and teach small groups of cognitively impaired seniors using our award winning Whole Brain Fitness programs
- Prepare materials and do the research you need to confidently run engaging memory enrichment activities
- Help with Cognitive Assessments ; tracking participation and keeping compliance related documentation in order
What You Need
- An Associate's Degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- At least six months of experience leading group activities with a special needs population
- The ability to work that Sunday and Monday schedule we already mentioned
- Clear communication in English, both spoken and written
- A professional, pleasant, team oriented attitude
- Consistent and reliable attendance ; that's essential here
