About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this opening. We're a global company that handles a massive volume of consumer transactions, and we need someone to run point on our Accounts Receivable and refunds team in Los Angeles, CA. It's a hands on lead position; you're managing the day to day, coaching people, and making sure our financials are tight.
What you'll be doing
- Supervise and coach a small team. That means setting up training timelines, giving one on one guidance, and running refresher sessions to keep everyone sharp.
- You'll monitor the daily and weekly workload, distributing assignments and making sure quotas are hit. Old items need to get cleared out promptly.
- A big part of the job is analysis and reporting. You'll track assignment volumes, spot error trends, and update management on how the team is developing.
- We need you to review our current procedures for accuracy and compliance, always looking for ways to make things smoother.
- You'll collaborate with other departments like Customer Service, Reservations, and Sales to sort out account or booking issues quickly.
- Tackle special projects related to refunds and receivables. This involves digging into research and reconciling some pretty complex cases.
- Keep everything documented. Detailed reporting and clear communication are non negotiable for keeping operations transparent.
The background we need
You should have 3 to 4 years of experience in accounting, AR/AP, or operations within a corporate setting. We need someone who's actually supervised, trained, or coached staff before; this isn't an individual contributor role that's being rebranded.
Your communication skills have to be solid because you're dealing with customers over the phone and email regularly. Problem solving is key; you follow structured processes but can also adapt when something new comes up.
On the technical side, intermediate Excel skills are required; think formulas and pivot tables; and you should be comfortable working with large sets of data. Good math skills and an eye for detail round it out.
The details
This is a full time position based in Los Angeles, CA. The salary range is $70,000 to $85,000 per year.
