About This Role
This Job is About Building How Our Clinicians Learn the Job
Intercare Therapy provides behavior therapy for people with autism and related conditions. We're not a huge corporate machine. We're a focused clinical organization that puts evidence based practices first. And this role is about how we prepare every new clinician who walks through our doors.
You'll own Intercare Academy. That's the name of our new hire training for Behavior Interventionists, Program Managers, and Clinical Supervisors. But this isn't just another learning and development job where you pick a curriculum off a shelf. This role is about wrapping your arms around the whole Behavioral Health new hire journey ; from the moment someone accepts an offer until they clear the field and start working with children and families independently.
The location is remote. The salary range is $120k to $140k. You'll report to the Senior Managing Director of People Experience.
What You'll Actually Do
Your main job is to make Intercare Academy into something that's not just informative but genuinely transformative. That means designing a readiness experience that actually mirrors what clinicians face in the field. Our teams work in dynamic, relationship driven environments. Training should look like that, not a lecture hall.
You'll strengthen the in center experience as a core part of getting new hires ready. You'll build structured shadowing and mentoring components. You'll make sure a Behavior Interventionist can confidently run a session before their first solo assignment. You'll ensure Program Managers and Clinical Supervisors can conduct assessments, supervise staff, and engage with caregivers ; clearly, not confusedly.
Blending all of this matters:
- Practical clinical instruction
- Structured in center learning
- Mentorship and shadowing pathways
- Hands on role play and mock assessments
- Clear readiness standards and clearance criteria
And you'll lead a small Field Readiness team as a player coach. That means you set the direction, raise the standards, and step in when things get tough. Your managers handle the day to day delivery and coaching assignments. You make sure the whole team is aligned, calibrated, and consistent across every region.
How You'll Know It's Working
Field readiness has to be measurable. And you'll look beyond simple completion rates to understand real impact. You'll define and track the indicators that actually matter:
- Readiness confidence
- Time to clear
- Mock assessment performance
- Early field outcomes
- 90 day retention
Using both hard data and frontline feedback, you'll constantly refine Intercare Academy. Strengthen what works. Cut out the friction. Evolve the experience as the organization grows. And you'll translate everything into clear, practical updates so Clinical and Operations leaders understand what's working, where the gaps are, and how readiness is trending.
Who You'll Work With
This role demands close partnership with Clinical, Operations, Talent Acquisition, and HR. You'll collaborate to anticipate hiring needs, align readiness expectations, and make sure training actually reflects real world demands. When you need outside partners or tools to improve the learning experience, you'll evaluate and manage those relationships ; keeping them simple and focused on supporting your readiness model, not complicating it.
What You Need to Bring
There are non negotiable qualifications here and some that will make you stand out.
You must have:
- A BCBA certification
- A master's degree in education, psychology, counseling, behavior analysis, behavior science, human development, social work, rehabilitation, or a related field
- Six to eight years of experience in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, or similar roles, including people leadership
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling learning programs for on site, frontline, or clinical teams
- A strong ability to translate data, feedback, and business needs into clear learning strategies and narratives
- Experience improving L and D operations, processes, or systems
- Working knowledge of adult learning principles and modern learning technologies like LMS, blended learning, and microlearning
- A collaborative, adaptable style ; you're comfortable operating in fast changing environments
It's strongly preferred if you have:
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or human services settings
- Direct exposure to high volume, in person service delivery models ; not purely corporate or in home work
- Familiarity with behavior analytic clinical practice

If this sounds like the kind of work that gets you out of bed in the morning ; building something real that makes clinicians better at their jobs on day one ; then you should apply. Tell us why you're the person to own this work.
