What you'll be doing

You're leading the team. That means getting out in the field with your Account Managers, watching how they interact with healthcare providers and staff, and giving them the direct coaching and feedback they need to grow. You're building a culture where accountability and collaboration are real, not just buzzwords.

• Recruit, develop, and keep a high performing team.
• Set the strategic direction for your area. You'll analyze local markets; understanding patient flow, reimbursement landscapes, and key systems of care; to build tactical plans that work.
• Identify and cultivate relationships that matter, like with Key Opinion Leaders or hospital pharmacy committees.
• Make sure your team can effectively communicate the value of our products within different provider settings and payer mixes.
• Monitor how marketing plans are being executed locally and redirect efforts when needed.
• You're analyzing sales data constantly to figure out the next move and communicating those plans clearly to your team and internal partners.
• Managing budgets and resources is part of the deal, as is ensuring everyone plays by the company's rules and guidelines.

The background you'll need

A Bachelor's degree is required. On the experience side, what we need depends on where you're coming from.

• If you're external to Lundbeck: at least three years of sales management experience in Pharma, Biopharma, or Biologics.
• If you're internal: one year of Commercial experience here in areas like Sales Management, Training, Market Access, Sales Operations, or Marketing. Or two years of consistent sales success within Lundbeck.

We need to see a documented history of sales success and solid financial management. You've got to have real leadership chops; proven experience developing people, providing training, and delivering actionable feedback. Your written and oral communication skills need to be top tier.

The practical stuff

• Driving is essential for this job; a valid driver's license with a safe record that meets our company standards is mandatory.
• You must meet any reasonable credentialing requirements required by the healthcare providers or facilities we call on.
• You must live within 100 miles of the territory boundaries. The territory covers Greater Phoenix and Southern California (including Los Angeles). Target cities are Phoenix and Los Angeles; you need access to a major airport if you live near but outside these core areas.
